EEffect of the Affective Commitment on In-Role/Extra Role Behaviors of Teachers

Abstract


The basic aim of this study is to investigate the effect of affective commitment on in-role and extra role behaviors of teachers that worked at schools in Ankara which are subsidiaries of the Ministry of National Education. With this aim, an empirical study was conducted on 317 employees working in schools in Ankara. According to the results of this study, it was proven that affective commitment affected the in-role and extra role behaviors of employees. The results indicated that extra role behaviors vary according to the school types, working districts, and ages of the employees. On the other hand, extra-role behaviors don’t vary according to position.
